What to pack for a weekend gateway?

You can’t beat a weekend gateway, and whether you’re staying whitin these fair isle or travelling further afield, making the most of your limited baggage allowance is key. Holiday season is well and truly under way and the fortunate amongst us will be absconding for some much-needed time out over the coming weeks. So we wants to make your life as easy as possible and we’ve compiled an overview of some essential style items to add to your packing list, so you can avoid last-minute panics at check-in, whether it’s all-night raving or all-day sleeping you have a hankering for.

No matter where you’re off to, it’s nice to have a variety of options – ranging from a ‘day out’ outfit, something comfy for chilling out in the evening and something slightly more special. You can’t go wrong with a pretty white Blouse or Shirt – to take you from day to night -, your perfect Jeans and the comfiest mens-inspired Shoes – like our Anaconda Eye in this amazing green – known to man (anything with a low heel in tan is perfect) and they are perfect for exploring the city or countryside. An evening outfit doesn’t have to mean a sparkly dress and the highest of heels, you can opt for a versatile Dress paired with your favourite lipstick. A weather-appropriate coat: Rain Macs or Pea Coats are your flexible friends. A pair of special Flats like our comfy-chic sandal Lovebirds that’ll take you from dancefloor or brunch. Don’t forget a Clutch for your perfect evening, some Jewels, your Sunglasses and a Swimsuit.

First up a basic T-shirt, it’s essential. A short or long sleeved Breton stripe T-shirt will guarantee your look charm. Wear it with a pair of Chinos for a particularly sophisticated flavour of smart-casual. Or with a pair of Jeans to look more street style. The button-down Oxford shirt is your port of call when packing for a weekend. Brighter colours are best suited to warm weather, as well as the modern-day Gatsby vibe. A Technical Jacket should be top of your list. Whether you opt for a casual, streetwear-inspired style or something a little more tailored. And for your shoes??? Well, you’re relaxing, so you want to make sure your shoes options aren’t all business. As such, good Trainers are necessity for a weekend break, and they don’t get much more versatile than our California Dreaming in Burgundy. While a good pair of trainers will see you through most occasions these days, packing something a bit more robust is recommended too like our Gordon Boots in Caramel. And don’t forget a Belt, your Sunglasses and Swimshorts.
